Short Form Bio – Sly "Philly" Phillips

Sly E. Phillips a.k.a Sly Philly was born in Brooklyn New York and grew up in the East New York section of Brooklyn. It wasn’t easy for Sly, his two sisters, and mother but they would eventually overcome the many trials and tribulations of growing up in one of the toughest sections of Brooklyn. At an early age Sly knew music and fashion would be his main objective in life.

Sly would start rapping when he was 8 years old and by the time Sly was 16 he would have battled hundreds of would-be emcees on the mean streets of New York, making a name for his self in the freestyle circuit. When Sly turned 17 he had his first opportunity to work as a street team promoter for the likes of Loud Records, Blunt Records, TVT Records, and Priority Records just to name a few. On the way Sly learned the ins and outs of the music and fashion business and found that as an artist he is good, but felt he could do more for his community by building a business name for himself.

Sly would go on to perform at many venues through out New York easily gaining recognition for his powerful talents as a freestyle artist. Sly would go on to share the stage with such headliners as KRS One, The Wu-Tang Clan, Buckshot Shorty, Artifacts and many other talented acts. As Sly would be waiting to perform he found himself wanting to produce the events as well, and by the age of 17 would do his first full Fashion show, and Hip-Hop showcase at New York’s Budda Bar, which was covered by Source Magazine and other local Cable TV shows. Sly would go on to produce fashion shows, and hip-hop show cases at such places as, the Roseland Ballroom, Queen of Hearts Yacht Cruises, The Tunnel and Club Chaos and more.

Sly moved to San Diego in 2001 and would take his knowledge of the entertainment business with him. Partnering with Atif and Reggie for the weekly club party "THE BASEMENT" would give Sly his first opportunity in San Diego; thereafter Sly would work with elite of San Diego night life to produce fashion shows, mix tapes, music videos and radio smash hits. Sly has worked with some of the top move makers in San Diego, such as Jay Avery, W.B. a.k.a Word Bond, DJ Sixx, DJ Happee, Mr. Dubie, DJ Fingaz, and Dacia just to name a few. Sly along with his life long friend and business partner Paul Christino has formed Triversity Entertainment an Atlanta based Music Compositions and Arrangement Company. Sly also founded SlyByDesign a Holdings Company for all his entertainment and fashion ventures.

Today, Sly has joined forces with Jay Avery, Infinite Multimedia, and Infinite Entertainment to bring you Infinite Television (ITV). As the host and co-producer along with various other hosts, Sly brings the charisma and energy of his stage presence to the screen while enabling the patrons and interviewees to express themselves. It’s all about the night life and the people who come to our events which make Infinite T.V. special. Look to see more in the future from Sly "Philly" Phillips and his adventures
